Arrival of an Egyptian humanitarian aid ship to Port Sudan
A humanitarian aid ship provided by the Egyptian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Endowments and the Egyptian Red Crescent arrived in Port Sudan, carrying about 200 tons of various materials.
The ship was received by the Governor of the Red Sea, the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Ambassador Hani Salah, the Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador Ahmed Youssef, the Defense Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy, members of the Sudanese Red Crescent, and a representative of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Navy.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, said that the ship that arrived in Port Sudan today carries 200 tons of various materials provided by the Egyptian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Endowments and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
He confirmed in press statements that this ship departed under the directives of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi and the supervision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
Hani added that the shipment will be distributed according to the vision of the Sudanese state, adding that what Egypt has provided to Sudan is a natural role for Egypt and that Egypt and Sudan are one country.
Ambassador Hani confirmed that the Egyptian mission is continuing to grant visas to Sudanese people, and these are direct instructions from the political leadership in Egypt, pointing to the arrival of 1.2 million Sudanese citizens who arrived in Egypt after the war in Sudan.
He said that Cairo is continuing with all initiatives that concern Sudanese affairs.
