Al-Burhan arrives in China

Hesd of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan arrived in China today to participate in the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, which will be held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, during the period from 4-6 September, with the participation of leaders of the African member states of the forum, and representatives of African regional organizations besides relevant international organizations.
On the sidelines of the forum summit, the Head of the Sovereignty Council will hold several bilateral meetings with the heads of state and government participating in the summit with the aim of enhancing and developing joint cooperation relations between Sudan and those countries.
Al-Burhan and Chinese President Xi Jinping will also hold a bilateral summit to review prospects for cooperation and enhance the strategic partnership between Sudan and China to achieve the common interests of the two countries.
At the conclusion of the talks, a number of agreements will be signed aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in all fields between the two countries.
Al-Burhan is accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Energy and Oil.
