Spotlight: Sudan post War Requirements

The brutal conflict in Sudan since mid April 2023 has forced millions of people to flee their homes ,pushing the number of the IDPs to around 12 million by June 2024. The vast majority over 10 million remain within Sudan ( for different reasons and motivations) representing the largest displacement in the World ( as some reports said).
The war that broke out for more than a year has destroyed and broken down everything in Sudan infrastructure, economy and the social life for most the people in Sudan and their relatives abroad.
Theses millions of Sudanese who are distributed between IDPs and refugees scattered in the safe Sudanese stastes or to flee to the neighboring counties ( despite of their suffering and the obstacles facing them).
Hell of war affected all Sudanese with no exception even those abroad .
Now the war enters its second year efforts are still going on to cease fire and stop the war that killed thousands of Sudanese in Khartoum state that witnessed kick off its first sparkle then shifted to other states in Gezira, Sennar, the Blue Nile , Darfur, and other states with all violations representing in killing ,looting and destruction.
The impact of the current war in Sudan hit all Sudanese life .
Taking the higer education as an example, the damage in this sector has also been significant .
More than 100 universities had been affected with this war including the prestigious University of Khartoum, suffering extensive damages,looting,or complete destruction , the effects on Sudan’ academic community and the future of its higher education are profound.
General eduction has also affected mainly in Khartoum and rhe war affected states where
Tens of thousands students were out of schools for than a year.
Addition to the noticeable destruction in the health sector where more than tens hospitals are out of service.
Great efforts should be exerted in the upcoming phase ,the post war period is more complicated that the war time itself.
Let us be honest in dealing with our issues , what was happened during this crucial war gave us lessons .
Security and stability are the topped requirements of the this period .Reconstruction of this beloved country needs more seriousness. We need to support each other , forget our differences and work hard for rebuilding our wounded homeland.
Despite this war , but Sudan is still promising ,it has rich natural resources base, geostrategic location and vibrant Youths constituting 67% of the population (the future leaders).They have to play a significant role in the post War period.
Sudan faces many challenges that when and where we have to begin the Reconstruction of the destroyed country .
Sudan posses vast natural resources like Gold ,oil and fertile lands , decades of political instability and conflict in Sudan have hindered development and created strak inequalities.
Let us support the real initiatives of friendly countries in the region that push forward the Reconstruction process .
We highly need to support Sudanese national initiatives to participate in the rebuilding of Sudan.
So these or other iniatives should work hard for the sake f the Sudanese people as top priority.
The post War needs first of all planning to kick off this process. The destruction is very severe and the rebuilding process is very extensive , it is important to forget our deep differences, and to work as (one team one goal) .
Let us aware the lesson and see how could other countries in the region overcome these internal differences and issues and rebuilt its countries ( Rwanda as an example).
