Al-Burhan meets the Attorney General

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah_Al-Burhan, met yesterday with the Attorney General, Al-Fateh Mohamed Issa Tayfour.

The Attorney General said in a press statement that he briefed Al-Burhan on the progress of work in the Public Prosecution and the ongoing preparations for the (*57*) session of Human Rights, and the overall criminal work in the country, which is proceeding well, especially the work of the National Committee to Investigate Crimes and Violations of National Law and International Humanitarian Law.

The Attorney General said that investigations in many cases are proceeding well, and we will request the red notice from Interpol for 12 of the accused, followed by other lists and addressing Interpol to arrest the accused in order to try them inside Sudan.

He added that there will be trials in absentia for those interested who have not been arrested.

He added that the Public Prosecution is taking strong steps to preserve the rule of law, prosecute lawbreakers and restore rights to their owners.
