Jaber receives UN expert on human rights in Sudan

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, 1st. Lieutenant General, Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim confirmed the Sudanese government’s keenness and full commitment to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to citizens in all states, as well as granting visas for the entry of relief teams and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field.

During his meeting in his office in Port Sudan today, with the United Nations expert on human rights in Sudan, Dr. Radhouane Nouicer Jaber provided a complete enlightenment on the humanitarian situation in Sudan since the outbreak of the war, and the extent of coordination between the executive and security agencies to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it and facilitate the work of relief teams.
The meeting emphasized the need to protect civilians, facilitate the tasks of aid convoys, and hold accountable everyone who violated human rights in Sudan.

For his part, Dr. Radhouane Nouicer explained that the meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in Sudan and stressed the need to facilitate the tasks of relief teams, journalists, lawyers, United Nations agents, and partners in international organizations, and their movements in Sudan.

He expressed his satisfaction with the great understanding and response of the Government of Sudan regarding the issue of humanitarian aid, wishing that security, peace and stability would prevail in Sudan.
