Head of the TSC meets Masalit delegation

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan met Sunday with a delegation from the Masalit tribe headed by Chieftain Yaqoub Muhammad Al-Malik Yaqoub, Chieftian of the Masalit in South Darfur State.
The meeting discussed the priorities and concerns of the tribe, which are represented in the liberation of West Darfur State.
For his part, Chieftain Muhammad Yaqoub said in a press statement that the delegation includes representatives of all the Masalit in Sudan.
He stressed the tribe’s support for the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territories, pointing to the Masalit tribe’s preparations to support the armed forces with fighters in order to contribute to the liberation battle.
He explained that the delegation was reassured about the ongoing arrangements for the battle to liberate West Darfur and said that the citizens will soon return to their homes from the refugee and displacement camps.
He stressed that the violations they were subjected to by the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Militia will find punishment and accountability.
