Sudanese representative in the UNSC: Sudan does not need the UAE’s support

Sudan’s representative to the UNSC, Al-Harith Idris, said that Sudan does not need the UAE’s support to Sudan.

He stressed during the Security Council session that Sudan is richer than the UAE and that it must stop supporting the Rapid Support militia, calling on the Council to condemn the Emirates after Sudan provided evidence and proof of Emirati support for the militia.

Al-Harith said that the six Emirati passports that Sudan handed over to the Council were not seized from the UAE, but were seized on the battlefield in Khartoum, indicating that the UAE obstructed the Council meeting with its shameful action and is supportive of terrorism.
