Narcissistic Acts: Humanitarian Aids!

Humanitarian aid is a rapid intervention designed to save lives, alleviate hardship, and get disaster victims back on their feet, while on the other hand Development Aid is an effort to help people in their efforts to lift themselves out of poverty and develop further. When the situation deteriorates, and because the country is unable to deal with the consequences, humanitarian aid is essential to meet the needs of vulnerable people. This can take the form of food aid, medical care, rebuilding infrastructures, etc.
The right to humanitarian assistance could be considered as a supplementary right, serving to ensure the maintenance of several basic human rights when the situation so requires. Humanitarian aid benefits the most vulnerable; women, children, and refugees are three of the world’s most vulnerable groups. Their vulnerability only increases in times of crisis. Luckily, humanitarian organizations focus on the people most impacted.
A survey shows that on average only 26% of people report that humanitarian assistance mostly or completely meets their needs, while 51% of respondents, on average, state that humanitarian assistance does not, or does “not very much”, meet their needs. The specific responsibilities will vary depending on the role, but here are some common examples: Provide food, water, shelter, medical supplies and medical care.
Humanitarian aid helps communities rebuild. The main goal of humanitarian aid is to save lives and reduce suffering. However, humanitarian aid’s role in community restoration also matters. There are many assistance provides urgent, life-saving support, including food, shelter, safe drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, emergency healthcare services, child protection programs, and education, among other activities.
One of the most important questions currently been asked about the situation in Sudan is: does our beloved county need International Humanitarian and Development Aids more than ever? The great country has been receiving aids for ages under good and somehow stable conditions. Now that the status of all conditions are much lower in all aspects, will the Humanitarian aids succeed in solving the issue that is rising on a daily basis?!
