Head of the TSC receives a message from the President of South Sudan

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, received today a written message from the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, regarding bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them.
Tut Galwak , President Salva Kiir’s advisor for security affairs, who delivered the message, said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the issue of South Sudan’s oil, pointing out that the southern oil transport line was affected by the war currently taking place in Sudan, indicating that this line is currently suspended due to the continuation of military operations in the areas located on the line.
He said that Head of the Sovereignty Council confirmed Sudan’s readiness to provide everything that would help in the flow of southern oil through Sudanese territory.

Tut added that it was agreed to hold a meeting between the oil ministries of the two countries to think about how to address this issue, indicating that oil is a lifeline for the citizens of the two sister countries.
It is noteworthy that the delegation of the southern state included, in addition to President Salva Kiir’s advisor for security affairs, the ministers of the presidency and oil.
