The Federal Minister of Health, in charge, appreciated Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, the efforts of regional and international organizations and the rapid response in providing the necessary needs and medical services and working to bridge the gap. During his meeting today with United Nations organizations and the World Health Organization, in the quarantine hall in Port Sudan, in the presence of the organization’s Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hanan Balkhi, stressed the necessity of providing the basic needs recommended by the Ministry, and said that one of the most prominent challenges facing the health system in light of the current circumstances that the country is going through is the medical operation of medical institutions, which has become a major burden on the state, in addition to the displacement within the country to safe states, indicating The displacement was reflected in health institutions, calling on the organizations to quickly provide the necessary interventions to provide support to overcome these challenges. In his speech, he stressed full coordination between the United Nations organizations, World Health Organization, and the Ministry, and agreement on a unified working formula to provide basic services to the citizen.
For their part, the United Nations organizations and the World Health Organization have committed to implementing health priorities across their system and sustaining projects to achieve safe services for citizens, in addition to committing to providing support, training and advisory for the success of the projects.
