A campaign to combat disease vectors in four localities in Sinnar State

Federal Supervisor of the National Campaign for Disease Vectors Control and Environmental Sanitation in Sinnar State, Director of the Environmental Sanitation Department in the Environmental Health Department at the Federal Ministry of Health FMOH Ahmed Mahmoud Hussein, said that the campaign was launched in three localities (Al-Suki, Sinja, and Sinnar) and now Al-Dali locality has joined them.
Hussein affirmed in a press statement, arranging for the launch of environmental sanitation to coincide with the control of disease vectors, in addition to the health and safety of water in the shelter centers and the surrounding areas, as well as the distribution and reading of chlorine.
Hussein revealed that the most prominent challenges are the interruption of the communication network, the lack of apeticide to combat the aquatic phases, and the shortage of spraying machines to combat mosquitoes flying inside and outside the rooms, in addition to the fact that the state is facing the risk of the spread of kala azar, pointing to the increasing cases of infection, especially in the Al-Suki and Al-Dindir localities ( The kala azar belt), which requires intensifying spraying operations in this belt to reduce the density of sandflies that transmit the disease, and the fuel shortage in the state in general, hoping that the campaign will produce results that contribute to reducing the incidence of malaria, kala azar, fevers, and all vector-borne diseases, especially since the campaign coincides with the end of the campaign.
The winter season, which is no less dangerous than the fall season.
