Ugandan President receives Agar

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received the Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Akar Air, in the city of Entebbe.

Agar conveyed greetings of Head of the TSC, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, and thanked Museveni for Uganda’s efforts and endeavors to end the war in Sudan.

He emphasized that the ongoing war in Sudan is a colonial war that targets Sudanese citizens.

He stated that the Sudanese government is eager to end the war and is working towards that goal.

The meeting also addressed the obstacles facing Sudanese students at various education levels and the issue of doctors needing permission to work in Ugandan hospitals. President Museveni promised to resolve these issues.

Both sides agreed to establish a mechanism for follow-up through the Sudanese embassy in the Republic of Uganda.

At the end of the meeting, President Museveni expressed his happiness and appreciation for the determination of the Sudanese people to resolve the crisis they are facing.

For his part Agar expressed his gratitude to Uganda, both the government and the people, for the warm hospitality and reception that Sudanese citizens received in Uganda.
