Orbits: Official Media Is Not Keeping Up

It is known that the media is an essential component in the state and because of that it is called the Fourth Authority.
But unfortunately the official media in Sudan is neglecting this reality, while the popular and individual initiatives are keeping up with the developments through social media outlets.
It is apparent that the official media conduct is very weak and that is very clear when we recognize that none of the concerned officials in the TSC or cabenit met with civil society organizations or media outlets since the eruption of the war.
The media can be an important partner in providing the proposals and alternatives whenever there is accurate information about the trends of the government. By this we can achieve a great goal represented by the unification of the political stance.
I think it is important for the TSC members or any of the government leading figures to speak out to media outlets publishers, civil society organizations, academics, and religious scholars about the war, and the exerted efforts to stop it, besides listening to their views. Such moves will lead to the required harmony in exchanging views and clarifying the stances.
It goes without saying that media is an important partner in making the proposals and visions if there is access to the accurate information from the government officials.
Our official media must keep up to confront the fake news aired by the RSF professional platforms.
