Foreign Ministry Criticizes EU Statement

Foreign Ministry issued a statement criticizing the EU announcement of imposing sanctions on three Sudanese national economic institutions claiming that it – besides three RSF militia companies working in destabilizing the political transition in Sudan.
The unjust EU decision equalled between the national army and a terririst group of tens of thousands mercenaries committing genocide, ethnic cleansing and sexual violence a matter which is confirmed by the report of the UN Sudan panel to observe the implementation of UNSC resolution No. 1591.
The UN-Sudan panel report provided sufficient information on who threatens the stability of Sudan and the region as a whole.
It was expected from the EU to shoulder its political and ethical responsibility towards regional and international peace.
The sanctions approach against the national Institutions will not help in achieving peace, but on the contrary it gives a blind eye towards the RSF crimes.
The Ministry points that Zadna is a pioneering national company working in modernizing the agricultural sector in Sudan and achieving the food security.
The Ministry’s statement concluded that the Sudanese people and their army will win the war of dignity to protect the homeland and it’s independence.
