Al-Burhan Briefs Lamamra on the atrocities and breaches of RSF militia against the state

Head of the Traditional Sovereignty Council (TSC), 1st. Gen. Abdul Fatah Al-Burhan has briefed the UNSG Special Envoy to Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra on the atrocities and breaches committed by the RSF militia against the state, its institutions, main infrastructure, properties of the citizens and forcing them to leave their houses.
He also explained the developments before and after the eruption of the war.
Al-Burhan, who received Lamamra in his office in Port Sudan, said that they discussed the peaceful solution endeavors, affirming the government’s commitment towards the democratic transformation and the transition which will lead to general elections.
Al-Burhan also briefed the visiting envoy on the outcomes of Jeddah Forum, the initiative of the neighboring countries and IGAD besides the regional and international interventions in the previous summit.
For his part, Lamamra expressed optimism on the possibility to achieve peace and stability through the efforts of Sudanese people.
He added that he met, during his visit, with several officials and civil society sectors, affirming that those meetings contributed in showing him the realities and the Sudanese government official stance towards some initiatives a matter that will help in launching a peace process which leads to stability.
Lamamra disclosed that he came out the meeting with Al-Burhan well informed by useful and accurate information on the Sudanese government stance towards several issues, affirming that he will tirelessly work with all parties to come out with positive solution from the UN in this regard.
