Agar reveals reasons behind rejecting IGAD’s Invitation

Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar has informed the UNSG Special Envoy, Ramtane Lamamra that the summit us useless because what has agreed on in the previous summit was not implemented.
Agar added that he discussed with Lamamra the situations in the Horn of Africa, Red Sea Area, the upcoming IGAD summit and Sudan’s stance towards it.
He added the discussion was fruitful and that the tour of the UNSG Special Envoy aims at proposing a roadmap to be forwarded to the UNSG on how to deal with the Sudanese crisis.
Agar pointed out that he affirmed to Lamamra that the war in Sudan has regional and international dimensions which must be thoroughly discussed.
