SFPA Calls for Providing Mammogram Device

The Sudanese Family Planning Association (SFPA) – River Nile State – will celebrate the International Day against Breast Cancer and Pink October.next Saturday.

The ceremony will take place at Al-Nile Theatre in Atbara amid considerable participation of civil society organizations.

The Head of Family Planning Association in River Nile State, Dr. Kawthar Mohamed Ibrahim said in press statements that the ،early detection represents the preventive treatment in
Reducing Breast Cancer hence declining of mortalities, adding that SFPA in River Nile State has set regular plans and awareness programs in all the areas of the State.
She revealed agreement with River Nile State Ministry of Education to implement awareness campaigns and regular detection for female students to reduce breast cancer cases.

She urged the River Nile State government to provide a Mammogram Device used to check for breast cancer in women who have no signs or symptoms of the disease.

It is to be noted that the ceremony will be participated by youth organizations, besides accompanying exhibitions and honoring those who resisted breast cancer through psychological counseling awareness.
