General Intelligence Services

Statement

The War Monitor in Sudan Website published a report full of illusive information in which it accused the General Intelligence Services (GIS) and Central Reserve Police of -what it called – assassination of detainees. This is untrue and misleading information considering that such conduct could be applied in the RSF militia, while the Sudanese Armed Force and other regular forces are tirelessly working in protecting the citizens; and the recent handing of RSF militia detainees -; including child soldiers -; to the ICRC is but an evidence.
It goes without saying that the sources of that website are just testimonies of Sudanese individuals who allege that they are monitoring the human rights a matter that makes us suspect in the credibility of any results as they are inaccurate and not neutral.
The criminal practices including killings based on ethnicity, kidnapping, illegal detention, targeting the hospitals and the distruction of public facilities are documented by international human rights organizations in Al-Genaina and other areas in Darfur coincided with the black past of these militias
It is strange that the report accused – what it called Operations Unit – in commiting the crime, based on comparing the uniform of those who committed the crime with the previous uniform of the GIS. This is a ridiculous comparison which is refuted by the statements of the Spokesperson of Sudanese Armed Forces statement, few weeks ago, in which he said that the RSF militia is planning to air vedios showing breaches of its elements but in regular forces uniform.
Despite the attempts of those who drafted the statement to reach a conclusion based on facts, but their content and justifications to prove that the Sudanese Armed Forces and other regular forces are involved in the incident could be defeated by the fact that the incident took place only one kilometer far from the location where the RSF militia killed soldiers belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces a week ago.
Another evidence of the unneitrality of the report is that it depended on parties known for its loyalty to certain political groups which have links with the RSF militia besides other groups opposing the Sudanese Army , hence siding the militia a maater that shed doubts on their testimonies.
The General Intelligence Services and other regular forces are committed to the religion principles Sudanese norms, and the international humanitarian law a matter that make it refrain from such breaches let alone documenting it.
It is apparent that the RSF criminal militia is the party that committed the crime and attempted to accuse the General Intelligence Services and the General Reserve Police of commiting it.
In short the report aimed at passing the British proposal for the formation of investigation committee which was rejected categoraly by the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, while the realities remain to point to the RSF militia as the top violators and threat to human rights and public freedoms in Sudan as recognized by all Sudanese people and the international human rights organizations.
