Press statement

The Arab Group in UNESCO had called on the Organization to set a plan for post-war stage in Sudan in order to rehabilitate the educational, cultural institutions and international heritage sites affected by the war in Sudan, along with providing support to women and curbing violence based on gender.
This was stipulated in a statement issued by the Arab Group before the UNESCO Executive Council meeting in its 217 session held today 10 October in Paris.
The statement of the Group expressed hope that war in Sudan comes to an end soon, and peace and stability prevail all over the country.
