Darfur Governor in a European Tour

Governor of Darfur Region, Commander Minni Arko Minnawi has started a European tour which included several countries and the EU head office in Brussels.
On 12 October 2023 a meeting was held in the French foreign ministry with the French envoy to the Horn of Africa and other officials on the African and Sudanese issues.
On 13 October 2023 Minnawi met in the EU head office in Brussels with the Horn of Africa official, besides the EU ambassador to Sudan.
Then Minnawi moved to the Netherlands where he discussed with the African -Sudanese affairs officials several Sudan-related issues. He concluded the visit by meeting with the deputy ICC Presecuter.
In those meetings, Darfur Governor discussed Sudanese issues on top of which is bringing an end to the war through national initiatives supported by the international community and the necessity of unifications of the forums to adapt a renewable long-term ceasefire.
He called on the Sudanese vision towards a Sudanese national state.
The meetings also discussed the urgent humanitarian issues, thanks to the EU for providing 500 tonnes of relief.
The delegation presented a comprehensive visit to establish modern Sudanese state through disregarding the previous agonies and prepare for a an inclusive national dialogue to determine the future of the enormous armed struggle groups towards unified national army.
Minnawi disclosed that the EU has an effective role considering its experience and pioneering contribution in international peace issues.
Darfur Governor and the accompanying delegation concluded his tour on Friday 13 October 2023.
