Al-Burhan meets Darfur Governor

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander in Chief of the Sudanese Army, 1st. Lt. Gen., Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan received today the Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi where the discussed the essential issues of the region.
For his part, Minnawi said in press statements that the meeting discussed the humanitarian issues and its negative impact on Darfur people, adding that the people there are in dire need to shelter and relief to enable them live in stability.
Minnawi disclosed that he breifed Al-Burhan on the humanitarian and security situations in Darfur, besides the efforts of the government of the region in this regard.
He concluded that the meeting also deliberated the course of Juba Peace Agreement implementation, emphasizing the importance of dealing with the security arrangements item to guarantee the sustainability of peace and stability in Sudan.
