The ongoing military operations represent the last attempt of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to stay as part of the political equation in Sudan.
But it is apparent from the current street clashes in greater Khartoum neighborhoods that the RSF are missing field commanders to direct the battles.
As a result escaping the battlefield has become the only available option for the RSF troops to avoid the bombing of the Sudanese Armed Forces.
In short the ongoing war had reached the irreversible tide for the RSF.
