Orbits: Waiting for Godot

If we adopt the announced figures of war causalities in Khartoum and Geniena, we are talking about almost 10 thousand deaths in the minimum. Just imagine that this figure is just estimations and not accurate statistics. It depends mostly on the number of those who were able to reach the hospitals or those whose families reported to the concerned authorities. The accurate number might double the announced figures, but let us consider this minimum figure.
According to the announced figures there are about 3 million displaced inside and outside Sudan.
There are about 25 million citizens who are in dire need to relief, besides 12 million children are at risk.
Most of the factories and health centers in Greater Khartoum are distroyed.
All public institutions were subject to systematic destruction
The private properties, vehicles, residences and furniture were looted by the rebel militia’s.
The health system in Khartoum is about to collapse
Thousands of Sudanese citizens are living since mid April without any source of earnings and they spent all their savings.
Even those who were lucky and traveled abroad are now in a critical position because they were not expecting that the war will take such a long time.
On the other hand the rebel militia are alleging that they are serious in stopping the war, while they are practicing their looting and other crimes.
The international community is deeply concerned and wants an immediate end to this absurd war not because the collapse of Sudan will have its negative impacts in the whole region.
Despite all this, the war is continuing and it seems that nobody cares about its consequences.
We are heading towards complete distruction.
The civilians are helpless as this absurd war continues
Is there any light at the end of the tunnel?
I don’t think so because I guess that the tunnel was shelled.
All the Sudanese people are waiting for Godot who might not come
