In a blatant violation to international laws and the rules of war, the rebel militia on Sunday took over one of the headquarters of the Sudanese police after attacking it for three consecutive days, knowing well that police facilities all over the world are considered service facilities and are not related to military operations.

The targeting of the police headquarters is not a military victory for a militia that does not hesitate in committing all kinds of violations, but a moral defeat and a blatant attack on state institutions concerned with protecting civilians, which calls for condemnation and disapproval.
