The arrival of the first air supplies and aids from the Indian government to support Sudan

Port Sudan: 19 May 2023

On the continuous work to support Sudan during this crisis, the Indian government sent a 25 tons of Medical Supplies and Humanitarian Aids through the Airport of Port-Sudan.

The acting governor of Port Sudan, Mr. Fath-Allah Alhaj Ahmed, and the Indian Ambassador, Mr. B.S. Mubarak, and the Minister of Social Development, Dr. Adam Bakheet, were on groung and received the Indian military airplane that brought the vital needs and aids to Sudan.

Acting governor of Port Sudan, Mr. Fath-Allah Alhaj Ahmed, affirmed the strong bond between the Sudanese and the Indian governments and their two nations.

The Indian Ambassador, Mr. B. S. Mubarak confirmed that the assistance airplane carries a 25 tons of medical supplies including life saving medications that costs $1.5 million, and described the airplane to be as the first air bridge of assistance to Sudan.
