The Army Announces Approval of a 24-hour truce

The Sudanese army announced Today, Wednesday its agreement to a truce for a period of 24 hours, starting from six in the evening, local time.
Earlier in the day, the RSF rebels announced their agreement to a new 24-hour truce with the army.
The truce comes at a time of intensified fighting between the two parties, despite the existence of a previous truce agreement, mediated by international powers.
The first truce between the two parties ended at 6:00 pm today, but this truce quickly collapsed, soon after its launch was announced.
The two sides exchanged accusations of violating it on the fifth day of the outbreak of fighting.
