IGAD sings a construction contract for its new Head Office

Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has signed a contract for the construction of its new HQ at a ceremony in Djibouti in the attendance of the Foreign Minister of Djibouti and ambassadors accredited to IGAD from member states.

During the signing ceremony, the IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu stated that for the 270 million citizens that have entrusted IGAD with their destiny, the new headquarters will be a reflection of our diversity, shared regional identity, and a symbol of our collective efforts towards achieving peace, prosperity and integration

IGAD is an organization of innovation that brings together member states and diverse professionals who work tirelessly in designing policies whose objectives are to enhance regional integration, peace and development to enhance international cooperation in confronting the enormous regional challenges e.g. climate change, organized crime, maritime security etc.
