Al-Burhan Address on Eid Al-Fitr Occasion

Text of Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan to the Sudanese nation on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr

Our country is passing Eid Al-Fitr of this year a dangerous situation as hundreds claimed their lives, thousands injured, facilities and residences ruined. The noise of bullets are everywhere leaving no room for celebrating the Eid all over the country.
We are very sorry for this. But there is still hope that we – along with our people – will overcome the ordeal and come out from it stronger than ever, We will chant together (One Army .. One Nation).
We are confident that we will overcome the crisis through wisdom and strength to preserve the security and unity of the country to enable for the smooth transition twards the civilian rule.
May allah the Almighty rest the souls of our martyrs in eternal peace, wishing recovery to the injured .
