The Horse Racing Club in Khartoum organizes the Khartoum Shield Race; and Welcomes Ramadan under the sponsorship of the Sudanese Insurance Company

The Horse Racing Club in Khartoum organized the Khartoum Shield Race in the presence of Mr. Abdeen Mohamed Ali, Advisor of the Sudanese Horse Racing Federation, Mr. Mohamed Omar, Deputy of the Horse Racing Club in Khartoum, Mr. Hassan El-Sayed Mohamed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Insurance and Reinsurance Company, Mr. Ismail Ezz El-Din El-Sayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahlia Insurance Company, Lieutenant General Ahmed Abdoun Hammad, and other important figures and a number of agents, referees, and fans of horse racing.

The race included (8) strong and exciting competitive races, as follows:

First Half: Karam Al-Hadbeen Cup, for seventh and sixth grade horses, won by The Mare Zozo for her owner Atef Mahmoud.

Second Half: The Cup of the Commanders, for seventh-class horses, won by Al-Jawad Al-Fazzaa, owned by Azhari Yousif Ahmed.

Third Half: Karam Jinnah Al Hadabeen, Youth Cup for seventh grade horses, won by The Mare Irtizan for her owner Hassan Al Sadig.

Fourth Half: Shareholders’ Cup, Grade 7 horses, open weights, won by The Mare Yavin, owned by Ahmed Ashraf Sayed Ahmed.

Fifth Half: The Al-Ahlia Insurance Company Cup, for sixth-class horses, won by the horse, Za Magic, owned by Muhammad Saif Al-Dawla.

Sixth Half: The Cup of The Late Ezzaldin El-Sayed Mohamed Ali, for horses of grades from fourth to excellent, won by the horse Sound of Dubai owned by Amin Al-Sadiq Hassan.

Seventh Half: The Sudanese Insurance Company Cup, for Seventh Grade Horses, open weights, won by The Mare Blanca, owned by Ahmed Ashraf Sayed Ahmed.

The Eighth and final Half: Khartoum Shield (second edition) for sixth and fifth Grade horses, won by the horse Amiral for his owner Ali Al-Shafee.

The Board of Directors of the Horse Racing Club in Khartoum expressed sincere thanks to the Sudanese Insurance Company for its interest in horse racing, the sport of our parents and grandparents and a Sudanese heritage, emphasizing the smart partnership between the two parties.
