In celebrating the IWD, promotion of the young female officials to higher leading positions

The women’s struggle continues to have their rights recognized since the early years of the twentieth century. The impetus for establishing an International Women’s Day can be traced back to New York City in February 1908, when thousands of women who were garment workers went on strike and marched through the city to protest against their working conditions.
IWD (March 8) aims at honoring the achievements of women and promoting women’s rights and has been sponsored by the United Nations (UN) since 1975.
In Sudan the women’s conditions are still standstill despite the great efforts exerted by the pioneering female leaders e.g. Fatma Ahmed Ibrahim, Khalda Zahir, Khadiza Safwat etc. along with the (Kandakat) of December Glorious Revolution. Those great efforts did not find their complete rights a matter that maximizes the civil society organizations responsibilities in pushing forward to support their struggle towards equality.
We in the Regional Center for Training and Development of the Civil Society (RCDCS) as one of the civil society organizations, affirm our full support to the women’s requirements through pushing forward in boosting their capabilities and empowerment to enable them participate effectively in decision-making and establishing the aspired model society.
To achieve this goal we set hereunder, among our most important priorities which we endeavor to achieve it with our partners:
Firstly: Boosting the principle of equality between males and females in all aspects, and contributing to raising awareness of the effective role of women without being subject to marginalization.
Secondary: Continuation of struggle to achieve justice and dignity to women besides protect them from any types of violence.
Thirdly: Working in supporting the inspirational achievements of Sudanese women to their efforts in confronting the continuous challenges ahead.
In light of the above and due to the RSDCS full confidence that youth can be in the decision-making positions at all levels, and in commemorating the International Women’s Day, the Director General of the Centre stated the following female employees will take over the leading posts as of Wednesday 8th March 2023 up to Tuesday 14th March as follows:

3. Maha Mutasim Abayazeed Programmes Administration Manager
4. Nura Obeid – Financial Manager
5. Rayan Ismael – Administrative manager and Programmes’ Support

In conclusion we salute the struggle of Sudanese women in urban, rural and war-conflict areas as they are always busy in building and reconstruction.
