Experts: Lack of Spending on development affects Sudan’s Future:

Economic experts noted that lack of spending on development projects affects the present and future of the country, the completion and rehabilitation of infrastructure, as well as production and productivity and all services sectors.

Some experts explained that despite the weak percentage of development between (5) to (10%) in the general budgets, but it has not been implemented over the past years, and others expected that the government will face greater difficulties in the future, and pointed out that this means that the Ministry of Finance is not properly managing the economy.

Professor Kamal Ahmed Youssef told (Sudani newspaper) that the cessation of spending on development, negatively affects the future, and means deficient thinking in building the macro economy.

He said “When thinking about development in the future, the government will face greater difficulties, adding that this situation is the result of wrong planning, when setting the general budget of the state.

Economic expert, Professor Abdul Azim Al-Muhal, stressed that development is an essential part of the budget, and a major engine for the present and future together, and without development the country will be moving backwards,

The academic, Dr. Muhammad Al-Nayer, explained that the percentage of special appropriations for development in the state budgets is between (5-10%) while it is supposed to be not less than (30-40%).
