Al-Burhan to Address Fifth Summit of LDCs in Doha

President of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan will address the UN Fifth Summit on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar on 5-9 March, under the auspices of the United Nations.

Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, told SUNA that the meeting will discuss the outcomes of the Istanbul Development Conference and development projects in neighboring countries to eradicate poverty and stave off the effects of the Corona pandemic ,as well as ,discussing the effects of the Ukrainian-Russian war and holding development economic companies between developing countries and southern countries, such as education, health and poverty-fighting projects.

It is expected that the President of the Sovereignty Council will meet, on the side lines of the summit, the Heads of State of some countries participating in the summit to discuss common bilateral issues.

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council is accompanied by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.
