Al-Burhan attends closing of 25th edition of Republic Shooting Championship
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, honored today the conclusion of the 25th edition of the Republic Shooting Championship at the Sudanese Shooting Federation Square in Nile Street, held under the slogan (No For Drugs).
President of the TSC affirmed concern with the sports and athletes, pledging to provide playgrounds for shooting, pointing to the importance of shooting in our daily lives and in our religion and values.
He stated that the sport of shooting does not have a specific category, a certain segment, or a specific age, but rather everyone can practice it, by overcoming all obstacles facing the Sudanese Shooting Federation, in addition to providing fields in the three cities of Khartoum, Bahri and Umdorman for exercises, announcing sustainable partnership between the armed forces institutions and the Sudanese Shooting Federation in the coming days, indicating that the doors of the Special Forces are open every Friday for exercises, stressing: “we in the armed forces provide all kinds of ammunition for shooting.”
Meanwhile, the head of the Sudanese Shooting Federation, Brigadier General (Police) Hassan Bashir Al-Jamri, noted that the Republic Championship is one of the largest shooting championship held in Sudan, pointing out to the start of the championship from February 15 to March 17, with the participation of 200 players from 16 clubs, held on four courts, the Nile Club Stadium, Sahroon Police, Special Forces and the Shooting Club Stadium, Nile Street, praising the championship and the wonderful organization made by the Organizing Committee.
Al-Jamri announced the participation in the 2024 World Shooting Championship in France, commending concern of the President of the TSC in this sport, announcing the results of the competition which were as follows: the 300-meter sniper rifle competition was wined by Omar Jaafar Ibrahim from the Shooting Club, the 200-meter large-caliber rifle competition by Haider Abdel Karim from the International Nile Club, the large-caliber 200-meter bolt rifle competition by Mohammed Siddiq from the Shooters Club, the 50-meter Morse Rifle competition was crowned by Sajid Abdel Hamid from the Nile International Club.
