3rd Edition of Sudanese Products Exhibition Opened in Chad

Acting Head of the Chadian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Ms. Nimat Baroud,  and the Chargé d’ Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Chad, Dr. Mukhtar Bilal, opened Saturday in the Chadian capital of Ndjamena the third edition of exhibition of Sudanese products.

The exhibition showcases products of 15 Sudanese companies and factories in the fields of food processing, plastic industry, cars, tractors, agricultural equipment, car services, shaping metals, trucks, motor oils, building materials, gas ovens, fertilizers, seeds and agricultural pesticides.

The Head of the Chamber praised the exhibition and the Sudanese-Chadian economic and trade relations, promising to develop them and encourage Sudanese investment in Chad.

The Charge d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy pointed out that there has been a development in relations between the two countries particularly after the recent visit of the President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Al-Burhan, to Chad, noting that the exhibition is the first event after the visit.

The Sudanese diplomat reviewed the agreements that were signed and the ones expected to be signed after the visit of the Chadian Minister of Transport to Sudan, especially the use of Port Sudan by Chad for import and export.

The Director of Suda-Expo Company that organizes the exhibition Salah Omar Al-Sheikh stressed the need to overcome obstacles regarding flow of Sudanese products through land transport, calling for encouraging Sudanese-Chadian partnerships.
