The atmospheric climate has a negative effect on pastoralists

Pastoralists in arid and semi-arid regions have long been aware of the atmospheric climate’s negative effect on their livestock. However, the mechanisms by which climate affects livestock have only recently been studied in detail. This paper will examine the effects of climate on livestock production in dryland pastoral systems in the Arabian Peninsula. The main objectives of this study are (1) to develop a model to simulate the effects of climate on livestock production in dryland pastoral systems, and (2) to investigate the relationships between climatic variables and livestock production in these systems.
