Sudan Expertise in Consumer Protection to be presented before an International Forum

Sudan has participated in the 15 meeting of the Arab Experts and Specialists which took place at the premises of the Arab League nin Cairo during the period 20 – 21 February.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Consumer Protection Bureau , Dr. Omer Kabbashi performed a presentation of Sudan’s experience ib consumer protection aspect where he described the features of the National Act of Consumer Protection and that Sudan is distinguished by the presence of a competent prosecution and police.

Sudan participated by a delegation that included the Acting Secretary General of the bureau, the rapporteur of the National Committee for Consumer Affairs in the SSMO, Dr. Haytham Abdul Salam

For his part, Dr. Abdul Bagi Eisa said that the meeting discussed several issues regarding the Arab consumer protection besides endorsement of the Guidelines for Arab Consumer Protection Laws and reviewing the arrangements for celebrating the Arab Consumer Week which will be organized by Sultanate of Oman early March 2023.
