Qatar Ambassador Attends Signing of Cooperation Agreement with International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Qatar Charitable Foundation signed on Monday a cooperation agreement on the integrated humanitarian response services to weak communities and the support to the health care system in the field of basic health care in the Blue Nile State, in the presence of Ambassador of Qatar to Sudan, Mohamed bin Ibrahim Al –Sada.

The Director of the International Organizations Department at the Humanitarian Aid Commission, Muttaz Ibrahim, expressed his appreciation for the Qatari stances in supporting Sudan, and pointed to the humanitarian contributions of Qatar Charitable Organization and the (IRC).

He said that the choice of the Blue Nile State to implement the project was a proper one because of the conditions and crises there, particularly in the health field.

He praised the presence of Qatari charitable projects throughout Sudan, saying that Qatar Charitable remained one of the fastest organizations to respond and extend relief materials, especially during the floods that hit the country recently.

The Director of the Field Offices Department in the Qatari Charitable foundation, Manie Al-Ansari, said that the agreement was aimed at providing integrated services to vulnerable communities that are mostly affected in the localities of Wad Al -Mahi and Russaires, where there is a large number of displaced people as a result of disputes in the region.
