President of the Sovereignty Council meets delegation of farmers of horticultural sector in Kassala state

The President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today in his office a delegation from the Algash farmers and the horticultural sector in Kassala state, in the presence of the state Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Khidir Ramadan.
the meeting touched on the problems facing the horticultural sector in Kassala.
Dr. Khidir Ramadan, Minister of Agriculture in the state, said in a press statement that the meeting dealt with the problems of the Algash Bridge, especially after the cracks that occurred in it during the last period and led to the sinking of large areas of agricultural land, indicating that the bridge is in dire need of maintenance and said that the President of the Sovereign Council promised to contribute to the maintenance of Algash Bridge So that the river flows in its natural course.
Dr. Khidir added that the meeting also dealt with the problems of agriculture in the horticultural sector, represented in opening exports to neighboring countries, especially since the onion crop in the state witnessed a terrible drop in prices during this season. He said that Lieutenant General Al-Burhan promised to stand by the farmers to prevent them from falling into insolvency or loss.
