Narcissistic Acts: The World Day of Social Justice

Today, 20th February 2023 the world is celebrating the World Day of Social Justice. Announced by the United Nations General Assembly on 26th November 2007, and starting from the sixty-third session of the General Assembly, the 20th February was declared to be celebrated annually as the World Day of Social Justice.
In many African countries, and countries of middle and low income, individuals struggle on a daily basis, economically, politically, culturally, and socially. In such countries, we find inequalities and poverty constitute major suffering aspects, which when combined with other crisis like pandemics, political tension and instabilities, and rough transformational phases both politically and socially, individuals face more than one dilemma that need to be solved not only by them, but by the nation in general.
This year, the World Day of Social Justice is organized by the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN and the International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), where they will convene the commemorative meeting of the 2023 World Day of Social Justice. This year’s theme will focus on the recommendations of the Common Agenda of the United Nations to strengthen global solidarity and to re-build trust in government by “Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Opportunities for Social Justice”. It is very important for the low-income countries to apply the outcomes of this meeting and to apply them when making legislations and laws.
This is a call for all youth, politicians, and civil society organizations to start looking at the problems of all individuals and groups of the country, because their problems are the country’s problems, and by figuring out a way to solve the inner conflicts in such groups, then all other different categorized problems will gradually resolve, and the ages of the continuous internal displacement, poverty, and social injustice will vanish for good. The key for reaching a level of high development is for all to sit at one table, discuss, listen to all opinions, and come out with final comprehensive solutions that are green-lighted to be implemented in an efficient and equal manner.
Multilateralism today matters to all parties and countries of the world. They are joining sides and shaking hands for the general benefit of their governments and most importantly for the sake of their own people. Unfortunately, at some of the low-income countries, people still struggle from social injustice. It is about time to unleash the cover off all the conspiracies programed to distort the image of social justice among societies and nations. It is time to unite as one nation and work hard to support and reflect the positive image of the whole and not just the single, where the single represents every organization, political party, institution, and even just a civil movement!
Large landed countries include different people with different colors, races, ethnicities, religions and believes which are representing different societies. The merging of these societies in one place is a challenging mission, and only wise people are capable of accomplishing it. If social justice was achieved properly, the start of a more peaceful world and the end of all civil conflicts and wars begins. So, let’s not take this day for granted, let us all participate in what will achieve our mission of being united, let us be part of The World Day of Social Justice.
