In continuation of the previous contacts between Sudan and Israel.the Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, accompanied by a delegation from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs paid a visit today Thursday, February 2, 2023, to Sudan, which lasted for a few hours. During which he met with the Acting Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, and a number of state officials. At the end of the visit, he also met with His Excellency the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
The talks between the two parties touched on the development of relations between the two countries in various fields, especially agriculture, energy, health, water and education. It was agreed to move forward towards the normalization of relations between the two countries.
The Sudanese side urged the Israeli side to work to achieve stability and peace between Israel and the Palestinian people.
