IGAD Calls on Sudan to Present Food Security Strategy

The Director of Economic Cooperation and Regional Integration at Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr. Osman Mohamed Babikr has urged Sudan to expedite the presentation of its strategy for food security, to be a nucleus for the development of the regional strategy.
He said in statement to SUNA on sideline of IGAD’s recent meeting held in Mombasa, Kenya that IGAD seeks establishing food security in the region through developing a regional strategy includes all member states so that each country defines its priorities as regard of food security issue, pointing that the IGAD is concerned with common and harmonious strategies as an important matter to attract investments to the countries of the region.
