forum on the impact of Drugs in Gedaref

In an  article titled ” Who is responsible for the prevalence of drugs” by Dr. Al Fatih Yassin publlished by AlTaghyeer daily Arabic newspaper , Dr. Yassin wrote ” The Imams of mosques through thier pulpits should have a role in raising the awareness of worshippers about the repercussion  of addicting and dealing drugs.”  In cooperation with the Imam of Erkowit Mosque  devout young
Muslims  convened  on Friday and Saturday evenings , the 3rd 4th of February respectively ,  young people  within Erkowit  primary School premises  in Gedaref  held in the wake of Maghreb prayers, just   after the descent of sun below the horizons, the first Islamic preaching forum  under the slogan “Narcotics is a danger that threatens people and country””  The proclaimed motto of the forum  emanated from the Holy Quran verse 164 of Surat Al Araf ”  And when a community among them said”Why do you preach to a people  whom Allah is about to destroy or to punish with  a severe torment ” (The preachers) said :” In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allah) ,and perhaps they may fear Allah”.      As its sign announced, the forum included  religious lectures, legal and medical symposia  accompanied with an  exhbit of anti’drugs film. First, AbdelFatah Mohamed Saeed, a high secondary school teacher welcomed the audience  thanking them for thier participation and attendance. Then, the forum was inaugurated by a recitation of holy Quran  and the opportunity had been given to the solemn and dignified Sheikh Yassin, the Imam  and preacher of Erkowit Grand Mosque who spoke about how Sharia Islamic law had come to the benefit of people  rather thier detriment .,and deflecting  or averting any  thing that hurts the humanity is compatible with an important Islamic rule or precept that says no  harm  and no retaliation . . Following his brief sermon,  up to the podium ascended  Bashir Mohamed Tahir, a specialist medical doctor who presented a health capsule informing the attendees about the risk of drugs .Tahir   described the residents of Erkowith as a society propagating the virtues and referred to the forum as a constructive programme hoping such a good session of debate should be maintained.  After him, the forum introduced  Shaykh Assad ElZayn, the representative of Religious Affairs together with Shaykh Abu Ogba, an imam and preacher of Bir AlWalidain Mosque   who highligjted the impact of drugs on the individual and the Society . With the participation if Shaykh AbdelRaziq Abu AlHassan and under the Mangement of Ustaz Mohamed Hamid, there was a projector display of a video  identifying drugs effects and menace.  The forum was attended by a multitude of inhabitants and amidst the joy of parents and young people , there were prayers and thanks for those who have proposed the idea of forum and implemented it for the sake of public awareness and safety   Yassin Moahmed Ali to the BrownLand said ” I’ve been impressed  by the presence of a large segment of Youth and the finest preparation of the forum adding that  educators bear the heaviest burden as they have to warn the youngsters of the drugs describing as ” a fatal pest” .   Al Hady Awad expressed his worry because of the study disruption in general learning institutions  as result of teachers strike pointing out that with the decline of education and economic pressures, It would be difficult to eliminate the spread  of drugs. However, he concluded  that with the sustainability of good education and subsequent consciousness,  It could be easy to combat the drugs which he said exist even inside prisons..
