Formation of control mechanisms for consumer protection in Nyala

South Darfur state government directed the implementation  the establishing the Consumer Court  Order besides  supporting  the efforts of the state committee for consumer affairs.

For his part, Governor of the State, Mr. Hamid Al-Tijani Hanoun, pledged, upon his meeting with the chairman and members of the central committee, to empower and strengthen consumer protection operations through government institutions and civil society organizations along with working in spreading culture and awareness.

Meanwhile, the committee held several meetings with the Chief Justice Prosecutor and the police authority in the state.

The supervisor of the state’s committee,  Minister of Agriculture and Animal Wealth Eng. Hamid Mohamed Matar, affirmed their desire to work jointly and strengthen the coordination with the parties represented in the committee for the favour of the people of the state.

For his part, the Head of the Committee, Dr. Nasr Addeen Shulgami revealed procedures to establish consumer protection investigation to work jointly with the public prosecution, besides organizing training session on legislations and continuous awareness programmes.
