David Beasley: Globe will face Food Crisis, Sudan will be the savior

Executive Director of World Food Programme (WFP}, David Beasley has emphasized the necessity of giving more attention to agriculture in Sudan.
“We are facing food crisis around the globe. Ukraine, which was the world food basket feeding 400 million people, has been totally disrupted. Food has run out and time has been lost” he added.
“We have to solve the problem
“Sudan has 210 million acres of arable land, and only a quarter of this area is utilized.” he affirmed
Beasley stressed that the world will have trouble in getting food, but if we make the private sector here collaborate with the owners of small farms to produce the food we need, we can, not only to feed the people of Sudan, but to feed the whole world.”
“This is what has to happen, it has to happen now, and this is what I see behind me, a beautiful and amazing wheat field in the heart of Sudan” Beasely disclosed.
