Committee for Collection of Illegal Weapons and Vehicles Decides Launching Security Campaigns

The higher committee for the collection of weapons and unlicensed vehicles and the combat of negative phenomena held a meeting at the Republican Palace on Wednesday, headed by the acting Attorney General, Khalifa Ahmed Khalifa.
The meeting discussed outcome and recommendations of the workshop, which was organized by the higher committee at the Republican Palace on Tuesday.
The rapporteur and technical coordinator of the committee, Gen. (Dr.) Abdul-Hadi Abdalla Osman, said in a press statement that the committee has stressed the importance of continuing the process of collecting weapons in all states of the country, during the year 2023, with a focus on Khartoum State.
He said that the committee decided launching joint security campaigns during the coming days to collect weapons, fight negative phenomena, eliminate drug phenomena, fight robbery gangs in Khartoum State and other states of Sudan, and to carry out raids and thorough inspections of neighborhoods, cities and villages, according to information received by the committee about the places of weapons, unlicensed vehicles and negative phenomena.
