Army Sends Humanitarian Assistance to Syria
In continuation of President of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan directives to send humanitarian assistance to each of Turkey and Syria, the second cargo flight of the humanitarian assistance departed this morning from Khartoum Airbase heading to Syria.
The Deputy Chief of Staff for Supply, Lt. Gen. Majdi Ibrahim Osman said that the shipment comes in response to the leadership of the army to support the Syrian people to express the strong relations between the people of the two countries.
The shipment included sheltering materials and foodstuff prepared by the Supply Division of the Army and the Defense Industry System.
For his part, the Charge d’affaires of Syria in Khartoum, expressed appreciation to the Sudanese people and the army, affirming the gratitude of his government for the assistance provided by the government of Sudan.
It is to be noted that a similar shipment was sent to Turkey in the last two days.
The cargo airplane was seen off by Lt. Gen. Majdi Ibrahim Osman, the Commander of Khartoum Airbase and the Syrian Charge d’affaires.
