Ambassador Abdullah presents credentials to Sri Lankan President

Ambassador Abdullah Omar Bashir presented today, his credentials to His Excellency the Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, residing in New Delhi.
The Sudan’s Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan Abdul Rahman, to the Sri Lankan President, and his wishes for good health and wellness.
He also conveyed the congratulations of the President of the TSC to the government and people of Sri Lanka and his wishes for security and progress on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence, expressing his determination to work to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
For his part, His Excellency the Sri Lankan President affirmed his government’s keenness to strengthen relations and bilateral cooperation with Sudan in various fields expressing his greetings and appreciation to His Excellency the president of the TSC and his wishes of well-being and progress for the Sudanese people, affirming his country’s welcome to the ambassador, wishing him success in his mission.
