VP of the TSC Concludes a Successful Visit to Chad

The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, returned this evening to the country, after a one day official visit to the Republic of Chad at the invitation of the President of the Transitional Period in the Republic of Chad, Lieutenant General Mohamed Idriss Deby.
He was received at Khartoum Airport by the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Ghali Ali Youssef.
Ambassador Abdel Aziz Hassan Salih, Director of the Neighboring Countries Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described, in statements at Khartoum Airport, the visit of the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council to Chad as successful,
He said that the discussions that the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council held with President Mohamed Déby focused on developments in the regional situation and cooperation , the bilateral issues on borders and common tribes, in addition to security issues, terrorism files, human smuggling, arms flows, and international files of interest to the two countries, noting that the two sides discussed economic and trade files, and agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation on all bilateral and regional issues to serve the interests of the two countries and the region, noting That Lieutenant General Daglo provided an explanation to President Mohamed Déby on the efforts made to complete the transitional period and form a government for the transitional period in Sudan, through the framework agreement, which was signed last December in order to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for stability and development, indicating that the Chadian president thanked the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council for accepting the invitation, which came in the wake of the positive developments his country is witnessing through the national dialogue that led to Formation of the transitional government.
