The Beauty of Blue between Science and Nature Blue in the Coast of the Red Sea in Port Sudan

The Blue color is one of the finest colors existed because it is associated with some benefits including its positive effects on the mind and the body, and this is why it is used at the treatment of mental breakdown. Blue can also represent rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and release feelings of tranquility. It is also cooling in nature and helps with balance and self-expression as the Super Color website detailed. But why Blue is the first color that appears as the color of the sky and the color of all seas and oceans?! That is because of the white light, when it passes through our atmosphere, tiny air molecules cause it to ‘scatter’. The scattering caused by these tiny air molecules (known as Rayleigh scattering) increases as the wavelength of light decreases. Violet and Blue light have the shortest wavelengths and red light has the longest, therefore, the blue light is scattered more than red light and the sky appears blue during the day when there is more white light. And the same goes for the water of Seas, Niles, and Oceans; where water absorbs colors in the red part of the light spectrum and works like a filter, as this leaves behind colors in the blue part of the light spectrum for us to see. Oceans may also take on green, red, or other hues as light bounces off of floating sediments and particles in the water.
The above-mentioned phenomena is greatly seen at Port Sudan, and specifically at the Red Sea coast, which stretches out 1,200 miles between Egypt, Sudan, and Eritrea. When visiting Port Sudan, you will see the amazing presence of the blue color during the day, as the part of the Red Sea in this area is filled with great sea creatures of different sizes and colors including Spinner Dolphins, Sharks, Ornamental Fishes, Barracudas, Jackfish, and many different types of other fishes. Although from distance you see the blue color of the Red Sea, but as you come closer you see the transparent water that makes your eyes able to locate moving sea creatures, reefs, and wrecks of different ships and boats covered by green algae.
