Productive Cooperation between the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies, and the International People’s Friendship Council

As of Tuesday January 10th 2023, a productive meeting was conducted between acting Secretary General of the International People’s Friendship Council, Ms. Salwa Mahjoub, at her office with Dr. Mahmoud Zain El Abidine Mahmoud, Secretary General of the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies. Ms. Salwa welcomed Dr. Mahmoud, reviewing how the Council cooperates with various institutions and parties to reach its main goal, which is to consolidate and strengthen the bonds of relations between Sudan and all the peoples of the world.
The meeting discussed how to manage cooperation between both institutions for implementing programs and activities during the year 2023. It also conversed the activities that were accomplished in the past year, elaborating the importance of strengthening relations between Sudan and African countries.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud stated that the Council is considered one of the important national institutions in achieving interdependence and cohesion between Sudan and the peoples of the world, and it is the gate through which experiences and knowledge are exchanged.
The discussion allocated the Rwandan experience and a number of seminars and workshop implemented about Sudan and African countries, especially that the success of the workshop held last year on the Sudanese-Chadian relations. A gratitude was given to the Governor of Darfur, Mr. Minni Arko Minawi, and his deputy Dr. Muhammad Issa Aliyu for providing all means of assistance and support for the success of the workshop.
In conclusion, Dr. Mahmoud thanked Ms. Salwa for her cooperation and coordination, wishing the Council further progress and prosperity in achieving its great goals and messages.
